Packaging creates order in our sorroundings, whether we are talking about groceries or electronic devices. It protects, adds playfulness and value. It shows us when and how to utilize a product. Based on the packaging alone, we can even guess the price of said goods.
There is not one moment in our day when if we were to look around, we wouldn’t find at least one branded product or packaging. We spend all our time in the environment of a visual signs created by designers. Therefore it is highly important that these visual impulses all around us should be of value and beautiful.
Besides the aforementioned aspect there is another point to note, that of packaging’s environmental impacts. We must design materials that add value to a product in a sustainable fashion. In all cases, we are talking about a shared responsibility that applies to both the designers and their clients.
